the problem with gangsters is theyre either armed to the teeth. or you have to fight 5 or 6 of em.

one on one, it could go either way because gangsters are used to violence and fighting….most black belts are used to pretending to fight. sad but true. in a “fair” fight…a duel i’d give the edge to a good black belt…from a good school.

just for the record a black belt does not in any way signify mastery of any martial art. it simply means you have somewhat “mastered” the basics of the system its self and from there…the “real” training commences.

Why don’t you jump on a plane go to Japan or Okinawa and walk in and challenge one to fight…at least this way we will never have to deal with a question like this again since this NY thug will probably never come back.

Maybe this will help. I LOVED this video…

Oh, by the way. I was trained to fight Spetznaz commandos and spent time with the British SAS.. I’ve taken on 6 thugs before, and I was the only one who walked away. I’m not saying I’m a badass by any means. Just well trained. I’d vote for the black belt…

yes, if the gangster has a gun and is shooting him from very far away. IF the black belt karate master is true, he would react to surprise attacks. Also, he can dodge bullets too, if he has practiced practical and true karate

Some lame-ass high school kid in New York who thinks he’s special because he has Old English letters inked on his knuckles and thinks he’s a pimp because he keeps getting fat chicks pregnant isn’t going to have any chance against some guy in Okinawa who shoves his spear-hand into barrels of rice an hour everyday after 5 hours of sparring.

Adversely, some big strong 30 year old prisoner in Attica who does incline push ups with his feet elevated on metal toilet by the thousands and who has fought every day of his life is going to be able to toss around an American or European karate master who is more focused on selling ghis with his logo and promoting black belt clubs than fighting.

Long story short – it depends who the individuals are. You haven’t given us enough information.

It depends. Does the Karate master have a gun? Does the homosexu… er… gangster have a gun? Does he have any martial arts training? Does it matter that the gangster is from New York? Why not San Fransisco? San Fransisco gangsters will tear your butt up… literally! Most gangsters are just punks who have no friends or family who care about them and join a gang because they’re too afraid to be alone. Without his “friends” there to help him, he will probably wet himself and run away. So, are his “homos/ homies” there to help him?

There are a lot of variables that could tern the fight either way. In a one on one, hand to hand confrontation all of the money I have to my name would be on the Karate master (this is assuming he is a good fighter).
